A Special Notice of Invitation to the Members of the Military and Police Force, who continue serving the Terrorist Military to join “The People’s Embrace” Program

(1) The Terrorist Military that seized the power through the means of weapons and force, against the will of the people, has been resisted by “the People’s Revolution” at all fronts and the people’s revolution has been gaining great momentum and is marching forward.
(2) The military officers and soldiers of other ranks, and police officers who could not accept the coup d’état of the terrorist military and the military dictatorship started to stand with the people and sought refuge in “the people’s embrace” program. A total of 12,327 members of the military and the police force – 3,236 soldiers, 9,091 policemen – and thousands of their family members have already joined the Program as of February 21, 2023. Together with the people, the National Unity Government records and recognizes as “people’s heroes” to the comrades who sought to join people’s embrace.
(3) In order to support those who joined the people’s embrace program, the “People Embrace Program Implementation Committee,” spearheaded by the Union Prime Minister, the National Unity Government, has been founded and is in full function. Alongside this committee, NUG’s ally ethnic resistance organizations (EROs), international organizations, and donor organizations are collaborating to provide systematic and comprehensive support of security, transportation, resettlement, livelihood, and social support for soldiers and police officers who have switched to the people’s side. Despite the numerous challenges as it is of revolutionary era, we are doing our best to fulfill the needs of all those who have sought refuge in the people’s embrace, even if it is not the most comprehensive, and we intend to continue to provide livehood, employment support and steady incomes in the most comprehensive ways possible. In the post-revolution era, all the heroes who sought refuge in the people’s embrace will receive the awards and honors in response to their different degrees of involvement.
(4) Currently, some of those who have sought refuge in the people’s embrace program have already been voluntarily and actively serving in the People’s Defence Force, and they will continue to carry out important duties in the future federal army that will essentially be established in the post-revolution period.
(5) From the beginning of the people’s revolution until March 2023, anti-fascist measures have been taken and a total of 29,650 terrorist SAC members have been killed, and 11,230 have been injured. We declare that the soldiers and police who remain loyal to the terrorist and war criminal military, who continue to stand against the people, will be considered enemies of the people and the revolution and will face elimination by stronger people’s defense measures. Moreover, during the post-revolutionary era, all those, who failed to join the people’s embrace program and stood against the people, will be taken legal actions in accordance with the Transitional Justice policy and procedures, in pursuit of truth and justice.
(6) The Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government is continuously increasing the momentum of the People’s Resistance Warfare in collaboration with allied ethnic revolutionary organizations. The terrorist military, on the other hand, is facing a huge crisis in all sectors, whether it is political or warfare or economy or diplomacy or international relation. The reality is that it is not possible anymore to prevent the people’s revolution, in terms of physical, mental, or manpower.
(7) It should also be noted that the people’s embrace program is not a never-ending program.Therefore, we strongly encourage the members of the military and police force who continue serving the terrorist military to stand together with the people and join the People’s Resistance Warfare against the terrorist military alongside the people before the closure of the People’s Embrace Program.
